What is a developmental disability?
California Department of Developmental Services (DDS)
DDS is the agency through which the State of California provides services and supports to children and adults with developmental disabilities.
California Department of Mental Health
Provides information and news, as well as ombudsman and other support services. Offers a searchable database of mentalhealth facilities and a statewide 24- hour mental health crisis hotline.
California Department of Rehabilitation
The California Department of Rehabilitation works in partnership with consumers and other stakeholders to provide services and advocacy resulting in employment, independent living and equality for individuals with disabilities.
California Medi-Cal Services
This site provides access to provider bulletins, manuals, regulations and forms for enrolling in the Medi-Calprogram. A variety of transactions can also be performed through this site.
California Medi-Care Services
This site provides information about the Medicare program in California, as well as the options for covering health costs not paid for by Medicare.
California State Council on Developmental Disabilities
Federally funded independent state agency that assists in planning, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating services for people with developmental disabilities.
